Morning - Gemstone illustration and rendering. 9:30 -1pm

In this hands-on workshop, participants will learn how to create beautiful gemstone illustrations using alcohol markers.

As an experienced designer, illustrator and trainer Jennifer Rowlands will lead the workshop and provide step-by-step guidance on how to use alcohol markers, the best paper to use, and share tips and tricks to achieve stunning gemstones on paper to take your client illustrations to the next level.

With materials (markers and paper) supplied to use during the workshop this class is perfect for jewellers, designers and artist wanting to dive into the kaleidoscope of colour found in alcohol markers.

Light refreshments will be provided during the workshop along with a digital PDF for future development.

This workshop will cover:

• Using alcohol markers

• Drawing Gemstone facets

• Light theory

• and Rendering gemstones.

By the end of the workshop, attendees will walk away with some beautiful illustrations and will have acquired valuable skills that they can use in future design projects or to create detailed client drawings and illustrations using alcohol markers.

Afternoon - Concept drawing 1:30 to 4:30pm

In these hands-on workshop, participants will learn how to create and render beautiful concept sketches for engagement ring drawings (rendering using alcohol markers.)

As an experienced designer, illustrator and trainer Jennifer Rowlands will lead the workshop and provide step-by-step guidance on a concept sketches, how to use alcohol markers and share tips and tricks to achieve stunning details on paper to take your client illustrations to the next level.

A small group number means tailored learning in a professional environment. With materials (markers, stationery and paper) supplied to use during the workshop there is no need to bring anything with you. This class is perfect for jewellers, designers and jewellers industry professionals wanting to build confidence with concept drawings in an efficient way.

This masterclass is 2 point perspective the easy way! A technical 2-point perspective drawing can be overwhelming and take a bit of time but I’ve created a format to get you results in a clear and fun way without the confusion.

This workshop will cover:

• Drawing gemstones and wedders in 2 point perspective.

• Drawing an engagement ring in concept sketch format

• Light theory

• and Rendering the drawings with alcohol markers or pencil.

By the end of the workshop, attendees will walk away with foundation skills to confidently create beautiful illustrations and will have acquired valuable processes that they can use in future design projects or to create detailed client drawings and illustrations.
